Printrivo Gang Sheet Builder

Arrange multiple designs on one 16-inch or 22-inch print sheet, keeping control of each design’s size and quantity.

Open Gang Sheet Builder

1. Set up your sheet

Under Sheet setup, choose a Print width of 16 or 22 inches. Enter your sheet length and artwork spacing in inches. The length adjusts when artwork is added or arranged; you can also change it manually.

2. Upload and size artwork

  1. Click Upload artwork or drag files onto the upload area. PNG is recommended for transparent artwork; JPEG, WebP, and GIF are also accepted.
  2. For each uploaded image, enter Width (in) or Length (in). The other dimension updates to preserve proportions.
  3. Set Qty, then click Add to sheet. Repeat for each design.

Artwork starts at the print size recorded in the image. Files without DPI metadata use 300 DPI as the starting assumption. Always check the inch dimensions before adding copies. Original backgrounds and margins are preserved; prepare or trim images in Image Studio first if needed.

3. Arrange and adjust

Adding artwork arranges the designs automatically. Click Auto Build / Arrange to arrange them again while preserving the dimensions you entered. Drag a placed design to adjust its position, or select it and enter its width, height, X position, and Y position.

Use Duplicate, Rotate 90°, or Remove for selected artwork. Center artwork and Trim sheet help finish the layout. On smaller screens, use the Setup, Canvas, and Edit & details tabs.

4. Check and download

  1. Review the sheet dimensions, piece count, and quality messages. Check the selected artwork’s effective DPI; enlarging a small image reduces its effective resolution.
  2. Keep all artwork within the sheet. If a design is outside the canvas, change its size or position before downloading.
  3. Click Download Print Sheet to save a PNG at 300 DPI. Confirm the intended inch dimensions in your printing software before production.

Troubleshooting

Artwork is too large for the sheet
Choose the wider sheet or reduce the artwork dimensions. Auto Arrange does not shrink your designs to make them fit.
A white background appears around a design
The builder preserves the source image. Remove the background in Image Studio and export a transparent PNG before uploading it again.
A large sheet will not export
Try a shorter sheet or split the job across multiple sheets to reduce browser memory use.

Worked example: six 4-inch logos

  1. Choose a 16-inch print width and set artwork spacing to 0.25 inches.
  2. Upload your prepared logo. Enter 4 in Width (in), check the calculated height, and enter 6 for Qty.
  3. Click Add to sheet. The builder places six copies and adjusts the sheet length. A square 4-inch logo can fit three copies across a 16-inch sheet with this spacing.
  4. Review the layout and sheet length rather than assuming the starting length is the finished length. If you move pieces manually, keep them separated and inside the sheet.
  5. Check that Artwork pieces reads six, then download the print sheet. In your printing software, verify the output width is 16 inches and avoid a fit-to-page setting that changes the size.

Understand dimensions and resolution

Pixels describe how much image data a file contains. Inches describe its intended printed size. Effective DPI relates the two: a 1,200-pixel-wide image placed at 4 inches is 300 DPI; the same image placed at 8 inches is 150 DPI.

The builder exports the sheet at 300 DPI, but that does not add detail to a low-resolution source. Select a placed image to see its effective resolution. A higher-quality source or smaller printed size can improve the result.

Transparent margins count toward an image’s width and height. If a logo has a large invisible border, entering 4 inches makes the entire image rectangle 4 inches wide, not just the visible logo. Trim unwanted transparent margins in Image Studio before uploading.

Know what each layout control changes

Artwork spacing
Sets the gap used when arranging pieces. After changing it, inspect the new arrangement because the sheet length and positions may change.
Width and Length on the upload card
Set the dimensions for copies you are about to add. To change an existing placed copy, select that copy on the sheet and use its width and height controls.
Qty and Add to sheet
Qty controls how many new copies are added each time you click Add to sheet. Clicking again adds another batch; it does not replace the existing copies.
Duplicate and Remove
Work on the selected placed piece. Check Artwork pieces afterward to confirm your final quantity.
X and Y position
Let you place the selected artwork precisely relative to the sheet’s left and top edges. Check the whole image rectangle stays inside the sheet after editing.
Auto Build / Arrange
Rearranges the current pieces. Use it before fine manual positioning because running it again can change the positions you set by hand.

Read the sheet details

Sheet size is the final width and length. Artwork pieces counts placed copies. Export at 300 DPI shows the output pixel dimensions.

Used area, Remaining area, and Sheet coverage are based on artwork rectangles, including transparent space. Overlapping rectangle areas count once. These figures help evaluate the layout but do not measure actual ink coverage or prove that designs are safely separated.

Final production checklist

  • Confirm sheet width matches your intended print workflow.
  • Count every design and verify its inch dimensions.
  • Inspect for accidental overlaps, clipped edges, unwanted backgrounds, and excessive margins.
  • Check resolution messages and confirm any low-resolution design is acceptable for the job.
  • Download the finished PNG before closing or refreshing the page. Keep your source artwork for later revisions.
  • Open the downloaded file in your print software and confirm scale and any transfer-mirroring settings there.
