Printrivo QR Generator

Create a QR code for a website link or text, with an optional icon or custom logo.

Open QR Generator

1. Enter your content

Enter a complete website address, such as https://example.com, or the text you want the code to contain in Content. Check the spelling and destination before generating.

Use Choose SVG icon to select a built-in icon, or leave No icon selected. To use your own artwork, enable Use custom logo upload and choose a PNG, JPG, WebP, or SVG under 10 MB. Check the logo preview before continuing.

3. Generate and download

  1. Click Generate and inspect the resulting QR code.
  2. Choose Download PNG or Download SVG for your design workflow.
  3. If you change the content or logo, click Generate again and download the updated result.

4. Test before printing

Scan the downloaded code with a phone and confirm it opens the intended destination or displays the correct text. Keep the blank border around the code intact, use strong contrast, and avoid stretching it. Test a sample at the actual printed size, especially when using a logo.

The downloaded code contains the content you generated. Changing the Content field later does not update codes already downloaded or printed. Generate and replace the artwork if the encoded destination changes.

Troubleshooting

Download buttons are disabled
Enter content and successfully generate a code first.
The code does not scan reliably
Try a larger printed size, preserve the border, or generate a version without a logo. Check the actual downloaded file rather than only the screen preview.
A custom logo fails to upload
Use a supported format under 10 MB. If an SVG is rejected, export the logo as a PNG and try again.

Worked example: a QR code for your shop

  1. Open the shop page in your browser and copy its complete address.
  2. Paste it into Content, including https://. For example, use https://example.com/shop rather than a business name or search phrase.
  3. Choose No icon for your first test and click Generate.
  4. Scan the preview with your phone. Check the actual destination, not just whether the camera recognizes a code.
  5. Add a built-in icon or custom logo if desired, generate again, and repeat the scan test.
  6. Download the file, place it into your design without stretching it, and print a sample at the intended size.

Choose the right content

The Content field encodes the text you enter. A complete web address gives a scanning device a clear destination. Plain text is useful when you want the reader to display information rather than open a website.

Check for accidental spaces, line breaks, spelling mistakes, and links copied from a private or temporary page. If you are sharing a website publicly, test the link in a browser where you are not signed in. A working code does not make a private destination publicly accessible.

Long content generally produces a denser code. If your destination has a simpler permanent address, use it and test the result. The generator does not provide a destination-editing dashboard for previously printed codes.

Use a logo without losing readability

A centered logo covers part of the code, so keep the logo simple and test the complete result. Fine lettering in a detailed logo may not remain readable when the QR code is printed small.

  1. Choose a built-in icon, or enable Use custom logo upload and select a supported file under 10 MB.
  2. Check the Logo preview for unexpected background blocks, cropping, or missing artwork.
  3. Generate the code and inspect the combined preview.
  4. Scan the downloaded result. If it is unreliable, compare with No icon selected or try a simpler logo.

Custom logos are temporary uploads associated with your session. Keep your original logo file so you can select it again when generating another code.

PNG and SVG downloads

PNG is a raster image suitable for placing in artwork and uploading to Gang Sheet Builder. The current generator produces a 1,500 × 1,500 pixel PNG. At 300 pixels per inch, that corresponds to 5 × 5 inches; your design software may initially interpret the file at another size, so set and verify the placed dimensions yourself.

SVG is useful in software that accepts SVG artwork. This export contains embedded image content; do not assume every part is an editable vector shape or can be enlarged indefinitely without losing quality. Open it in your intended software and check the result.

Keep the code square. If you resize it in another application, lock its proportions and avoid filters or effects that blur the edges. Retain the blank margin around the code.

Check the final printed design

  • Confirm Current content matches the intended text or destination after generating.
  • Place the code where folds, seams, trimming, or other graphics will not obscure it.
  • Preserve strong contrast and the full blank border. Avoid adding artwork over the code itself.
  • Print a sample at the actual size and test it with more than one device if possible.
  • Scan from a realistic viewing distance and under the lighting where it will be used.
  • Confirm both recognition and the destination. A successful camera scan alone does not confirm the linked page is correct.

Changing an existing code

To correct the destination, edit Content, click Generate, and download a new file. Replace the old file wherever you used it. Changing the form does not change already downloaded files or printed materials.

If the encoded web address stays the same, you can update the content on that destination website without changing the QR artwork. Maintaining that website and address is separate from generating the code.

More troubleshooting

The preview still opens the old link
Editing Content alone does not regenerate the code. Click Generate, check Current content, then download a fresh file. Make sure your design uses the new download rather than an earlier one.
The code scans on screen but not in print
Check the physical size, print sharpness, contrast, and surrounding border. Try a larger version and a version without a logo. Test on the final material, since texture and reflections can affect scanning.
My design software imports the wrong size
Set width and height together with proportions locked. Use the PNG’s 1,500-pixel dimensions to assess resolution at the chosen print size, then test a sample.
A logo disappears after returning later
Select the original logo file again and regenerate. Download completed artwork while the result is available.

To place your finished code beside other designs on a print sheet, follow the Gang Sheet Builder guide.
